Important information
Squirrel Wood is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, many of whom also support their own Scout Groups. The campsite is not routinely staffed during the week, so please submit your booking enquiry at least two weeks before your proposed visit. This gives our team time to review your request and make arrangements for your stay.
For Friday arrivals, access is from 4pm unless an earlier arrival has been agreed with your duty warden. Please plan your journey around this time so our volunteers can arrive and prepare to welcome your group.
If you’d like activities during your visit, include your chosen sessions and preferred times in your initial enquiry. Instructor led activities depend on volunteer availability, so booking well in advance gives us more time to arrange instructors and the best chance of securing your preferred sessions.
Please also include any equipment hire, access requirements or campsite preferences when completing your enquiry. The more information you provide, the better we can help you plan a visit that suits your group.
